YOGA & SACRED MUSIC – PUNJAB 2013
body, sound and soul
Kundalini Yoga is not only limited to our physical body. We assume that we have 10 bodies to be aligned, to take care of and clean.
In KY we manage to do this not only through the Asanas, different technics to breathe, Meditation, but also through sound and mantras.
Our body consists to 80% of water which transmits vibrations and sound.
In addition to this we have about 84 meridian points located on the upper pallet of our mouth. Through reciting/chanting our tongue
stimulates these meridian points, which react on our glandular system. They influence our mood, emotions, behavior as well as
Sound & Mantra – “The crown chakra is also our 3rd ear!”
MAN=mind und TRANG=wave/projection
Sound protects and projects the mind.
Soundwaves define how we are and what we project to others. We create with every word we speak or think, it effects also our chakras
(energy-centers), our human psyche and the higher glands.
The power of a mantra is in its sound vibration and elevates the consciousness through their meaning, the rhythmical repetition, the
correct pronunciation and our projections we put in. It is beneficial to link a mantra to the breath.
Gestures or the shape of the sound penetrates in our aura. Repetition creates a constant relation between you + the sound and lets go
the ego (from personal to impersonal). “In this infinite pulse to hear is to know!”
other benefits are:
– to strengthen you, your expression, your mind, your word
– balances respiration, your senses, your intuition
– awakens Kundalini
– to heal
– to cut of the ego – “Shabd Guru”
– to come to the state of Anahat – the state where the Nervous System vibrates the Mantra without conscious effort.
(also in silence we find Anahat)
